Costa Rica’s dry season is from December through April, which means less rainfall, therefor making it ideal to visit. Rainy season begins in May.

The early months of the rainy season are a good time to visit also because this time of year is know as the  ‘green season’ making the land lush and beautiful. Keep in mind that Costa Rica’s dirt roads can be more challenging in the rainy season. June and July are also a busy tourist time due to North American and European holidays.

Travel Tips:

Panama’s high season is from mid-December to mid-April. During this time there is little rainfall. On the Caribbean side of Panama, it rains all year round, however it rains less in February, March, September and October than it does the rest of the year. On the Pacific side, high season is December to January, when there’s generally little rain and the weather is nice.
